The limitation for some though is Nespressos smallish dozen or so blends, plus some Limited Editions that vary now and again.
For example, the Finezzo, this is a lighter blend created from fine Arabica beans from the high Central American plantations. Or at the other end of the scale, the Ristretto, is a full bodied blend of Arabica beans from Columbia and Brazil mixed with a dash of dark East African beans.
Good as this range is many espresso lovers are forever curious.
Of course they have their favorites. But they are always looking for the next great bean. That search not possible using a C120 as you can only use the Nespresso capsules. There is not a way to take home made grounds and put them in a pod.
But if you can accept the limitations, the C120 has a great deal on offer.

It's also incredibly simple to operate, as with the other Nespresso machines, it's 99.9% foolproof. Really, all you do is pop in the capsule, fill with water and press the on button.
If you prefer milk in your coffee it's no problem. You simply pour the amount of milk you want into the milk chamber and then turn on.
Plus, despite this simplicity, you are able to make a number of styles of coffee too.
Espresso is the basic but it is also easy to make latte or mocha with the Aeroccino system. And, these other styles are very low effort. No need to grind, tamp or adjust anything.
Of course this is what the problem is for some espresso lovers.
The more hardcore coffee makers really want to search for special and new beans and blends. They want to grind, tamp and adjust settings.

If you are such a home baristas, the Nespresso C120 is not a good choice, except maybe as a reserve machine for "basic" cups.
However if you're after quick, effortless, uncomplicated (and very delicious) coffee making at a suprisingly low cost then a C120 needs to be high on your list.
